The Women of Stockton, CA are marching. Will you join us?
A group of community organizers in Stockton originally wanted to produce a local Women’s March in January 2018. The nearest demonstration would be held in Sacramento, about 50 miles away, and we knew that barriers such as cost, transportation, childcare, etc. would make it difficult for people from all backgrounds to participate. However, we found that it would take a great deal of planning, coordination and (frankly) money to pull off an event of this kind. Instead, we worked together to organize a delegation to the Sacramento Women’s March. More than 100 people attended the demonstration and Stockton made its voice heard at the California Capitol.
This year, we are bringing the Women’s March to Stockton, California. Will you show up?
More information about the march can be found here: https://www.womensmarchstockton.com/
Many community members, local business, and professionals are expected to attend. This is a great opportunity to join the #WomensWave as you advocate for Women's Rights and meet community members and professionals with the same passion as you.
Please fill out this form to give PSWIB an estimated number of women that will be marching with the organization. Filling out this form is not required to participate.
Thank you!
